Psychologist

Credentials: BSocSc(Psych), BAppSc(Psych)(Hons)

Minh Anh is currently accepting new online clients.

You've probably got very good at being the capable one. The good kid, the good employee, the one who translates — between languages, between generations, between who you are at home and who you are everywhere else. You've explained your culture, your family, your brain to people who were supposed to help, and left the room having done most of the work.

Maybe you're not in crisis. Maybe you're just quietly worn down by the distance between who you are and who you've had to be.

Minh Anh understands that — not just as a psychologist, but as someone who has lived it.

Minh Anh’s Special Interests

Minh Anh’s special interests include stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, ADHD, autism, addictions, disordered eating, family conflict, inter-racial relationships, diversity and identity challenges, internalised racism, minority stress, gender and sexuality, work and study, adult children of migrants — and much more.

How Minh Anh works

Minh Anh is a Registered Psychologist, a second-generation Vietnamese Australian, and a late-identified neurodivergent woman. Her own experience of growing up between two cultures, and of spending years holding it together before she understood how her own brain works, shapes the way she sits with you. You won't spend your sessions bringing her up to speed.

Her approach is warm, curious and collaborative. She takes the time to understand your whole story; your history, your family, your culture, and how your brain works. Minh Anh draws on CBT, ACT, DBT skills and mindfulness-based approaches within a neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and identity-affirming frame. What fits you, not a textbook version of your problem.

In sessions with Minh Anh, you can expect:

  • A space where you don't have to apologise for being human

  • Curiosity about you before curiosity about your diagnosis

  • Gentle, direct conversations that name the hard thing — with warmth, not a clipboard

  • Practical skills woven into deeper work on identity, family and belonging

  • A pace set by you — weekly or fortnightly to start, spacing out as you find your feet

Therapy with Minh Anh is generally a medium- to long-term process. The aim isn't a quick fix, It's a life that fits you. We don’t do band-aids at the Liminal Clinic.

What people bring to Minh Anh

  • A persistent sense of not quite fitting — in your family, your culture, or within yourself

  • Carrying expectations no one said out loud, as the adult child of migrants

  • Anxiety, overthinking, or a body that's been braced for something for a long time

  • Low mood, burnout, or the quiet flatness of having been "fine" for too long

  • Trauma — including the kind that never had a name, just a weight

  • Being neurodivergent in a world designed for someone else — or finding out late, and re-reading your whole life through that lens

  • Questions about sexuality, gender, or identity at any stage of life

  • Racism you've turned inward, minority stress, or the strain of an inter-racial relationship

  • A difficult relationship with food, substances, or the things you reach for to cope

  • Life transitions where the old version of you no longer fits, but the new one isn't yet clear

  • And much more. If what you're carrying isn't on this list, ask.
